Dr. Gerber is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the section of General Internal Medicine at UIC. Dr. Gerber coordinates the clinical aspects of the proposed research, including recruitment and enrollment methods, physician training, and data mining of the electronic medical record for abstraction of relevant clinical indicators. In addition, during year 3 Dr. Gerber will participate in data analysis and interpretation, cost-effectiveness evaluation, as well as manuscript publications and presentations. He will also supervise data collection, entry, and management methods to ensure privacy and confidentiality are maintained.
